Water Sports at La Trinité

Maritime activities have shaped the Town from the outset as demonstrated by the evolution of the original commercial harbor into a fishing port to its current status as an international sailing center.

The view from the walk on Kerisper Bridge and a stroll along the quays and pontoons provide tangible evidence of the foregoing. This is further supported by the regular presence of mythical sailboats such as IDEC, Sodebo, Gitana and Safran, international-class regattas (SPI Ouest France) and the diligent participation of an average of 100 boats during winter training sessions.  All of these factors lead to the obvious conclusion:

Trinité sur Mer is without a doubt the port of reference as regards sailing and water sports !

The status is further reinforced by the presence of about fifty specialized companies set up to serve the boats and their sailors, an industry representing approximately 200 jobs.

Thus, there would be no sailing without La Trinité sur Mer and the town wouldn’t exist without sailing. All of the elected representatives are firmly convinced of this who consider this one factor as the lynchpin to the Municipality’s strategy of economic development of the municipality and their will to promote La Trinité sur Mer in the sailing world.

Moreover, this ambition is shared by both Marina Syndicate and by SAGEMOR, partners with whom we have invested in a project known as “An Exemplary Port”, an effort which will reinforce the Town’s reputation.
